We are called to be generous and give out of a heart of gratitude for the extravagant and sacrificial gift of God to us through Jesus. "God so loved the world that He gave...." (John 3:16) rings true for all of us. At Providence, your gifts go to lead people to grow in their faith, hope, and love for Jesus.
What is Tithing?
Tithing is our starting place in giving. The Bible teaches us about a baseline standard for giving: the tithe (a word that literally means a “tenth”). When we give the first 10% of our income through the local church, we put God first in our lives. Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith, and love for others. God also encourages us to give offerings beyond our tithe to specific projects at our local church and to other organizations and causes that we personally believe in.

Above + BeyondWe’re two years into our three-year Expanding The Table journey culminating in 2020. We’re believing God will take each of our individual gifts and multiply them to help us accomplish the big vision God has given our community! We're currently focused on renovating and expanding our current property to create a place for everyone to join the story that God is writing at Providence. Expanding the Table is an opportunity for us as a House to give above and beyond what we normally give to dream beyond our current building for the future of West Chester. |
