Influence

Series: Potential

Practical Concepts of Influence:

Proximity: In 2017, we are the most connected we’ve ever been due to technology and social media, while at the same time the most disconnected and lonely. Leveraging influence doesn’t have to
mean driving into Philly and preaching Jesus on the street corner. Some of you might be called to that, but for most of us, influence looks like hosting a cookout for your neighbors to bring people together. Knowing and being known by others. Proximity.

Ask good questions: What if each day, your mindset was to trust God for “+1” conversations?

What’s your spiritual background?
What role if any, does faith play in your life?
What’s been your experience with Christians?
If there was a God, and you could know Him, would you want to?
At some point, could I tell you what I’ve come to believe …
Tell me more…
What was that like for you?

Share your story: 1 Peter 3:15 "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect."

Listen well: We’re constantly talking, rarely listening. Stepping outside of your world, to enter into someone else’s. Jesus did this all the time. When the rich young ruler came up to him,Jesus “looked at him and loved him.” He listened. He was present.
