Read Nehemiah 8, Nehemiah 13:23–25, ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:10-12‬ 

In the past few weeks, we've discussed the cycle of re-building through faith: mourning the destruction of our sin, being strengthened by Godly joy, becoming a spiritual encourager. Which part of this cycle do you see yourself in right now? 

Why must we move through each step of this cycle? 

In Nehemiah 8:9, how did the people gain a new understanding of the joy of the Lord? How is the joy of the Lord different than human joy?

Love and joy led Jesus to choose to suffer unimaginable pain and grief for us. Have you ever been motivated by joy to take a difficult step in life?
